Scanning electron microscopy;

• ThermoFisher (USA) Quattro S Felid Emission Gun, Environmental SEM “FEG ESEM”, equipped with the following detectors;

1- ETD: Everhart–Thornley Secondary Electron Detector (SED)

2- LVD: Low Vacuum Secondary Electron Detector (20 - 200 Pa)

3- GSED: Gausses Secondary Electron Detector (200 - 2000 Pa)

4- BSD: Back Scattered Detector (multiple array detector)

5- STEM: Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (multiple mode detector; Bright Field, Dark Field, HADF, custom) “up to 6- samples per run. Flat or tilted”

6- ESTEM: Environmental Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (multiple modes of operation, with Temperature control down to -20oC, and humidity control from 0% to 100%)

7- EDX: Energy Dispersive X-Ray (Elemental Analysis & Elemental Mapping)

 

• We can Image Solid, powder, Liquid (Suspended Nanomaterials in STEM mode only), and Thin-films (top-view, cross-section, or tilted).

DC Sputtering Unit;

• VacTechniche DC Sputtering “UK”, model DST1. Equipped with;

▪ Dual stage vacuum system (rotary pump + turbo pump: we can reach vacuum up to 10^-4 mbar) ▪ Gold target with purity of 99,95%

▪ Chromium target with purity of 99,95%

▪ Rotating stage carrying up to 7 standard SEM sample stub holders, or a single sample with max. diameter of 5 cm.

▪ Piezo-crystal automatic film thickness monitor with 0.1 Ao resolution.

▪ Sample shutter.

• We are accepting coating services and thin film fabrication services (single or multiple layer).
