What happens when a 3,000-year-old King needs to travel abroad?
History isn't just a collection of artifacts at the Nanotechnology Research Centre (NTRC)—it is a living, breathing narrative that we are dedicated to preserving. We recently spent an unforgettable afternoon with Prof. Dr. Hussein Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, a world-renowned expert in conservation and a visionary with over 40 years of experience in safeguarding our world’s most precious heritage.
Professor Hussein`s lecture, "Applications of Nanotechnology in the Restoration and Maintenance of Archaeological Stones," and his incredible story of the Passport of King Ramses II. In 1976, when the mummy of the great Pharaoh needed to travel to France has pulled back the curtain on the "Bench to Bedside" of history.
At the NTRC, we are proud to lead by using the world's smallest particles to solve the biggest challenges in conservation.
By bridging the gap between advanced technology and our ancient roots, we are ensuring that our history doesn't just stay in the past , it stays for the future.
